Abstract

This analytical study of “The Development of the Knowledge Management Model for the Meditation Centers in Thailand” is of 3 objectives, i.e.:- 1) To analyze the procedures and the factors of the knowledge management in Buddhism; 2) To analyze the state of knowledge management of the Meditation Centers in Thailand, 3) To present the model of knowledge management for the meditation centers in Thailand.

 From the analytical study of the first objective, it is found that the knowledge management in Buddhism appeared in the clear model of the Sagha organization management structure.  There are praises for the monks outstanding into the position of Etadagga, and the tools to support the knowledge managing are shown in the forms of Dhamma principles i.e. Aparihāniyadhamma, Sārāniyadhamma, Sappurisa-dhamma Vuddhidhamma and Sammappadhāna, etc.  Moreover, there are many activities in knowledge managing in accordance with the model of Kiccādhikarana, the 10 principles of the routine, the rehearsing called Sagāyanā, etc.
